Friends of Naukuchiatal is a community-driven non-governmental organization dedicated to the environmental protection, cultural enrichment, and sustainable development of Naukuchiatal and its surrounding villages. Our mission is rooted in local participation, transparency, and long-term impact.

To safeguard Naukuchiatal Lake and its ecosystem, promote environmental responsibility, and foster a healthier, more vibrant community through inclusive and sustainable initiatives.

What We Do

Wellness & Community Health

We conduct free daily yoga classes focusing on physical fitness, mental well-being, and preventive healthcare. Sessions include Pranayam, Surya Namaskar, and guided yoga practices for all age groups.

Environmental Protection & Lake Cleanliness

Our lake conservation efforts include regular clean-up drives, removal of aquatic weeds, undergrowth clearing, pruning, and beautification. We document our work through before-and-after visuals to ensure transparency.

Community Development & Village Upliftment

We work closely with nearby villages to identify development needs, support public facilities, and assist children requiring special care or intervention.

Children & Cultural Engagement

Through music lessons, competitions, cleanliness workshops, and creative activities, we nurture local talent and instill environmental awareness among children.

Cleanliness Incentive Programs

We encourage community participation by recognizing clean households, hotels, and restaurants, and by distributing eco-friendly cloth bags to reduce plastic usage.
